Here’s a good one. If you check out Sweetsview.com you know we also have an e-mail at sweetscolumn@yahoo.com
that I use to use for the paper, when I left I kept that e-mail for the
Mrs to use in case. So I check it from time to time to make sure you
can get a hold of her. Anyway, we got an e-mail in from Tory Flynn
House Republican Media Director inviting us to the Indiana House
Republicans 2011 Southwest Indiana Media Day. So me being me I gave
Mrs. Flynn’s office a call and told them that I write for
Sweetsview.com and not that paper anymore, just to make sure that we’re
all on the same page and is the invite still open and it was. So we
said we’ll be there plus thanking her for the invite but as we all know
I’m more of an independent voter just to clear that up. It’s the best
person for the job that gets my vote no matter! After letting this all
sink in that’s right Sweetsview.com got invited to a big time Media
Day. Wow!! After clearing everyone and getting them on the list
Sweetsview.com and sweets column is now considered a real media outlet
now even at the Indiana Statehouse even though we already knew it. That
it was just kind of strange to have been invited. At last, so see
Winslow you now have an on-line news source that’s growing all the
time. How many of you are aware of us? The Indiana Statehouse is! But
you know that’s how it goes when you’re starting out. I’m wondering how
long it will be before we blow super big time. After talking with the
crew we got all lined out. So last Tuesday rolled around and Laura,
Dan, me and the Mrs got ready for a three plus hour tour. Oh no, where
have we heard that before? Up to Indiana Statehouse all the time
wondering just how will we be treated up there? At last we got there
the road trip was good with no problems. We finally found a place to
park at a cost of $13.00 dollars. Ouch! After we all passed through the
metal detectors with no issues we found where we were to be and no one
at all was there. So we placed a call and it wasn’t but a second and we
were on our way to the Media Gallery. We had a brief chat with Tory
Flynn House Republican Media Director where she apologized for not
being able to speak with the people she said we could speak to. But
with the Democrats coming back to the Statehouse everything got changed
around and the House went straight into session to take care of state
business. Even with Sweetsview.com not fitting the standard “look” they
did their best to make us feel welcome! So we watched the Indiana
Statehouse in action, we shot a video to bring you along with. Hope you
enjoy it. And get this stars, even though State Rep Mark Messmer was
about to speak on the House floor he made time to talk with me and the
Mrs and thanking us for coming up to Indianapolis and attending Media
Day and he shot a quick video to say check out

March 19th
It’s
long overdue, at last a lot warmer weather is making it here and maybe,
just maybe, we can say goodbye to Old Man Winter, “See Ya.” But it does
bring up this point, as tornadoes are starting to show, make sure you
got your weather safety plans, ready to keep you and your family safe.
If you need plans check them out at www.noaa.gov to get them and to keep an eye on the weather.
Here are some shots of flood waters in Knox Co, Pike Co. Also at this time the waters are starting to recede, thank God.
Hey it’s time we get backstage and ready to rock. As always we’re glad you checked us out we are working on getting updated more as now there’s a lot more starting to happen.
What? The stage is ready? Alright, let’s head that way, but first we have to kick on our spotlights and this week’s turn goes to all of you who have stock with Sweetsview. We have noticed that our hits are slowing down. Come on now people it’s all of your web site, in a way, so don’t forget to help spread the word about Sweetsview. We need all of your help to make it bigger and better.
Anyway it was good to see all of you stars that turned out for Irelands St. Patrick’s Day Parade which was on March 13th.
The Mrs birthday along with our man Dan’s birthday to both hope your
day was good one and it sucks that Dan had to work on his birthday, but
it’s just my point of view! Laura, Kyana, the Mrs and I along with our
State Representative Mark Messmer and his Mrs Kim Messmer, Laura, and
Luke Messmer along with many other friends of the Mesmer’s’ all handed
out candy and had a good time.
